Delta The Leo

‘Delta The Leo’ Choshi is a multi-talented, all round entertainer. Born in rural Limpopo and raised on the lively streets of Alexandra Township, Johannesburg. With a strong background in the dance industry, the self-taught dance sensation is sharing some of her other talents as a musician, public speaker (MC) and creative/social strategist.

Delta is well known for her dance repertoire. She has competed on various stages and has choreographed for numerous musicians. Under her belt, she holds two world championship titles after having gone head to head with competitors from all over the world. In 2013, she competed in the UDO World Championship in Glasgow, Scotland where she was named Best Krumper and Best Female Soloist thus taking home first prize. In 2014, Delta went on to be placed first at the World Dance Master competition in Italy. She was placed first for Hip Hop, second for Folkloric dance style, and was named the Best Overall Talent.

She’s not just a competitive dancer but a choreographer as well. Her repertoire includes dancing and choreographing for the Big Brother Africa Hip Hop task in 2014, the DARE TO LIVE tribute to Michael Jackson, the Converse, Nike/Jordan Kiddies Flash Mob and choreographing and performing in music videos for notable artists such as Heavy K and Black Coffee.

As a musician, her music has bridged the divide between local and international music lovers. From

the success of her first single Zaga (a hit even in Germany!), to being afforded the opportunity to perform at The Weeknd’s Starboy Legend of the

fall concert in 2017, she continues to prove that she has exactly what it takes to leave a lasting impression.

Delta has worked with Kenyan producer Kevin Provoke, as well as Kenyan rapper Wangechi, and one of South Africa’s Hip Hop pioneers, HHP.

In all that she does, Delta endeavours to give back to others. Philanthropy is not just an idea; it is a way of life and to this end she’s established Live.Learn.Inspire Dreamworks. She wants to inspire people to be DreamCatchers.
