Luxury has a new face: The Vision Mercedes-Maybach 6 Cabriolet

Forget all the names that come to mind when you think about luxury cars, the Vision Mercedes-Maybach 6 Cabriolet will make sure you have amnesia when you attempt to think of anything else as a luxury car. Revealed at this years Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance in California, Mercedes-Benz is embarking on changing the landscape of luxury cars in the future. The Vision Mercedes-Maybach 6 Cabriolet will not go into production so we can all just dream of driving one. Mercedes-Benz is using this car to guide their designs of luxury cars they will manufacture from 2035 onward. The car has beauty that invokes different kinds of emotions, the technology is out of this world and the design is second to none. A car that combines elements of the classic cabriolet with advanced technology of the future.

The Vision Mercedes-Maybach 6 Cabriolet is an electric car with four compact permanent magnet synchronous electric motors producing an output of 550Kw, the battery has got a range of over 500 km which is pretty impressive. Acceleration from 0 – 100km/h in under 4 seconds, top speed electronically limited to 250km/h. The car has a futuristic quick charge function that can give you 100km range with just 5 minutes of charging, this really means Mercedes has considered the fact that your time is money.

The 6 foot long luxury cabriolet has been designed with sexy curves, with an interior that is meant to resemble the inside of a yacht or boat, the front grilles to resemble a pinstripe suit…must be a very expensive pinstripe suit. The hood no longer pops on this car like all other so called luxury cars, instead the hood opens in a butterfly-like pattern that makes it looks like a bird ready to take-off. The interior boasts the best quality of nappa leather, an alien and futuristic spaceship-like interior lighting that makes one probably feel like they are in a spaceship when it’s lit up at night. This is simply a high tech car with beautiful and strong structural elements and definitions that make it stand apart from it’s competition, in fact there is no competition for this one, all dead and buried (RIP).
